Selangor FC is delighted to announce the arrival of midfielder Peter Makrillos from Sydney, Australia, as the club's third import signing and sixth new addition ahead of the upcoming Malaysia League season.

Peter has enjoyed a professional career spanning several countries, including England, Australia, Greece, Finland, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden and the Republic of Korea. Last season, he featured in Vietnam's V.League 1 with Cong An Ho Chi Minh City FC. His wealth of experience is expected to further strengthen the squad, particularly through his role as a box-to-box midfielder capable of contributing in both defensive and attacking phases of play.

Welcoming Peter to the club, Selangor FC Head Coach Kim Pan-gon expressed his confidence that the Australian's box-to-box playing style will reinforce the team's midfield while also providing an added attacking threat.

"I was looking for a player like Peter. Not only is he capable of playing as a box-to-box midfielder, but he also has the ability to score goals. I believe his arrival will further strengthen the squad as we prepare for the season ahead."

The 31-year-old also shared his excitement about wearing the Selangor FC jersey and stated that he is ready to embrace the challenges and expectations that come with representing a club of the Red Giants' stature.

"I've always known about Selangor and understand that this is one of the biggest clubs in Malaysia and Asia. It has always been my ambition to play for one of Asia's big clubs, and when this opportunity came along, I knew it was the right step for me. I also understand the high expectations that come with this club, but I enjoy that pressure because, to me, that's what football is all about."

Peter also expressed his determination to help the team return to the summit and is eager to play in front of the Red Giants supporters.
